AGE NEWS AT 12!!! WITH DAN, CHAD, AND DIANE!
Chad: Hi folks and welcome back to Age News At 12! Today's topic, Is age simply a number? Dan, Diane?
Diane: Well Chad, I think that with age comes experience in life situations and experiences. How many 11 year olds would you put behind the wheel of a car?
Dan: Good point Diane! I wouldn't put anyone under the age of 15 behind the wheel of a car, and I wouldn't hand anyone under the age of 21 an M-16.
Chad: That's right Dan! With age comes maturity, experience, and trust. I wouldn't trust our nation's security to an army of 12 year olds.
Dan: Bottom line guys?
Diane: Age is definately NOT just a number!
Chad: I agree, Age is a way to tell if someone can handle certain things.
Dan: I agree! Well that does it for Age News at 12!!! Don't miss our next exciting answer!!! Until next time, don't get behind the wheel of a car unless you are the proper age!!!

Not true.... a phrase coined by die-hard romantics. There are significant emotional and physical developmental milestones we all cross (of course, many choose to not and remain immature, shallow, always looking for that hot young thing or the next party, etc.) such as the birth of a child, death of a parent, loss of a loved one, our own growth thru experience, loss of muscle mass and strength, fading memory, and other things.
In relationships, age is number primarily only when relationships begin, once established, maturity levels begin to surface and all of the sudden, that number is now a major factor. Most folks, for example, who date much younger people, lack maturity and feel most comfortable with the younger crowd (not all people tho). I tried years ago and realized quickly that dating >5 years below my age presented huge developmental gaps between us- i was the one that wasn't able to cope with the lack of experience and know-how.

It depends on how the phrase is used. If a person is using this to convince themselves that they can get with a more mature man or women while they are young then they believe in the wrong motto. If this is concerning a mature person that isn't chasing the diaper group or a young person that isn't chasing someone in the knackers yard then I would say it is a motto of courage, strength and free thinking why should you be trapped because you feel you are too old or young to do something positive or something you desire to do.

Age is how you feel and act. I am over forty and own a business... stress makes me feel old but I dont look or feel over 40..............some people use their age as a crutch and some use it to gain power over others......
