Love them, no matter what.
Don't let them use you.

Be there for them, hold their hand.
But lead them in the right direction.

Be subtle when you need to,
and direct when its best.

Don't be afraid to hurt them,
and set an example.

Change happens in time,
and only when they make an effort themselves.

You are a good person for trying so hard.
Keep it up, sweetie. :]

well in my opininion the best u can do is show him that u support him, and that u r on his side. that no matter what he s ur friend, however, dont let him drag u into the drugs habits either. i dont really know if u might be able to change him, however, i guess that he might have some personaal problems and that s why he turned to the drugs... if that s the case, he might be willing to get out of that bad habit if he shows that u r there for him, and try to get his family to pay more attention to him, however, i dont think that for any reason u should tell the family, cuz he ll think that u betrayed him.

Its up to the person to change themselves. Its sad that they got mixed into the wrong group, but they went into that by themselves and they have to want the help. All you can do is let them know that you don't support it, but you will be there if they want help getting out.

Once i thought I could, but I was wrong. I did meet a woman once who changed me for the better. The key to it is the person has to truly care about the other and want to change, you cannot change anyone they have to do it.

I have tried a lot of times, and it just don't work. that person who is on drugs is going to have to want to quit on their own, no one can force that person to stop. all I can say is when he or she decides to get help just be there for them and give them the support they need. been there and done that. I realized you just can't change anyone if they don't want to change.
