My fiancee and I are both firefighters. We are planning a firefighter themed September 22, 2007 wedding and would like to order invitations that reflect the theme, however, we have not been able to find any. I have looked at many notable places such as Rexford.com, InvitationsByDawn.com, etc. and no one has them. If you know of any place that has them, please let me know! Price isn't an issue so don't hold back :)

Well I have received three responses, and while I thank you for answering, it isn't exactly what I am looking for. We are having a classy wedding and I would really like professional invitations. The suggested websites do have firefighter themed merchandise, however, I cannot say that I would use any for my formal invitations. If there is anyone that knows of a formal invitation that is firefighter related? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

In response to the the last answer received, well excuse me I suppose that 'formal' was not the correct term. Let me clarify. My point is, however, that I am looking for professional invitations that are embossed and have raised ink, etc. I am not looking for invitations that could be used for a child's birthday or appears to be something printed off the computer.

Does your fire department have a coat of arms that could be used on the invitations? That could be very elegant :) You may need to get permission from the fire chief to use it on a non-official document, but worth a shot :)

Why not take what you want on the invites to a printing store and create/customize them yourselves? You could probably order everything at a good shop. Not kinko's or anything, but most areas have a good local print shop that might be willing to help you out. Then you'll get exactly what you want! Good Luck. I like the idea of the station symbol, btw.

So I checked out a few of the recommended sites and I agree with the one who recommended the ebay listing I saw all three invites and they were really very nice and not childish at all:

or maybe a picture of the two of you in gear as the "art" I would think you could get anyone with a digital camera to take a nice photograph and then maybe use it as the basis for your invites?

Ok. i think I found exaclty what you are looking for. Unfortunately, it's on ebay, but there is nothing to stop you from contacing the seller, to at least find out if they are customized, or a name brand that you can order. Anyway, good luck!

You're asking for something that does not exist.
FORMAL invitations do not have firefighters on them.
Formal invitations are white or ecru ONLY, and engraved in black or gray ink, with little to no ornamentation.
If you have flowers and borders and colors and ribbons or cartoon firefighters or swans or whatever on your invitations, that makes it a NON-Formal invitation.
You may want to read up in a standard etiquette book and realize what a formal invitation really looks like.

try theknot.com, uniqueinvitations.com, or just type in firefighter invites on google.com. You should get some sites popping up.
