Not to defend the enemy but some individual Christians can be fairly progressive and I even heard of one who was an Atheist. I'll be the first to admit it. Organized religion is twaddle, but spiritual growth is not a bad goal. It really depends on what you're expecting of the religion. If you expect balogna, you can find it. If you want that path to salvation, enlightenment or redemption, you can find that too.

All religion is based on faith. Faith, according to Christians is 'the evidence of things not seen'. This in itself is a logical contradiction, much like 'this statement is a lie'. Since faith requires constant regeneration through ritualistic brainwashing, i.e. prayer, mass, and 'good works', it can be safely said that there is no such thing as 'true' faith. I am sorry, all religion is baloney.

Take the best from all religions. Everyone that claim to be "christians" sit up on their soap box and judge others. Ignore them. They are misguided and one sided. Look amongst all and find the beauty from each. Do not be swayed by one or the other to allow yourself to be sucked into a religion is to close your mind. Keep it open and take the best from all religions because they all speak of love and God..

no
i briefly studied all of the worlds major religions and some old religions in a college class. i also tried VERY hard to believe in jesus for a year of my life. what i have found in my own experience is that NO there are no religions that are not a load of bologna.
all religions are lies and the only people who deserve an eternity in hell is the people who made them up.

Well, the unitarians are at least equal opportunity baloneyists. And Buddhists generally seem pretty reasonable.
