I'm taking prozac. Can I drink alcohol with it? Serious answers please- is there any problem with the two mixing?

Alcohol should not b mixed with an antidepressant. Alcohol makes you less alert and Prozac can do the same thing. Prozac is classified as a "selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor" and serotonin is one of the chemical messengers that regulate your moods. Also remember medicines are either metabolized(broken down) in the liver and kidneys and alcohol effects the liver as well. Good Luck.

You really shouldn't drink any alcohol with any medicines it can do severe damage to your body.
