I will be hearing what your are saying. This is where the break down in communicate can and do occur. If you only can listen from your own perspective, i.e. your voice, there will be little understanding your could have of another's point of view. This is where stupidity is born.
The lowest form of communication is the opinion-based conversation. True communication is based on understanding not just from your point of view but also from the point of view of the Arthur or the person speaking.
Yes there are quite a few B.S artists in this world but if you have a thinking mind it is not so hard to distinguish the wheat from the chaff if you are willing to do the work and research things for yourself. None of us should be willing to just accept as truth what anyone person, agency, government or book tells us without checking the facts for ourselves.
The most dangerous person in society is the close-minded repeater that just accepts what authority tells them without question.
I feel pity for the individual that can't defend their belief or knowledge outside of the realm a book or hearsay that tell them what to think or believe. Then again my pity turns into condemnation when I realize this very same person is destroying the world in which we live because they are none thinkers that are easily lead down the primrose path. What is more disturbing none thinkers heavily out number the thinking folk.
So if you want to enter into the land of thinking before you jump to any conclusion take the time to see how what a person is telling you can be true for them or even in the world. In the process you may actually learn something you did not know.

I don't think I hear a voice. My mind just registers the words. That's a very good question though. I suppose if I wanted, I could imagine it in someone else's voice (like someone I know) but that takes thought, and when we initially read something it just goes in quickly.

Excellent. I'm hearing the sound of my own thoughts(which of course, matches the sound of my own voice), but there seems to be important exceptions, for instance, Pangel's words sound like a woman's voice in my mind and the I Chong sounds like Chong from the Cheech and Chong comedy routines.

It's not my voice, but I usually make a voice up in my head for it.
