Because after 26 years in service and a tour of duty in Iraq the Army told me that I was no longer healthy enough to be deployed.

I retired last September and am now working for a defense contractor - where we make and do things that make it harder for the enemy to kill our troops.

BTW, my son is currently serving as an infantryman. (He didn't listen to his old man when I told him to make sure that he got a job that came with a vehicle.)

I do support the war allot of good men died and i think pulling out would only mean they died for nothing. I signed my name on the dotted line and i was in the navy for five years i never went to war but every day i knew that it could happen and i new that before i joined the best thing we can do is support are troops and stand behind them send care packages and letters see your local vfw or va for information.

Asthma & allergies disqualify me. If I could have I would have SIGNED up 25 years ago & seen the world while getting a free education. I'm loaded for bear if the terrorists are brave enough to strike over here & so are all my friends. I'll forgive you your typo in your question, I don't know why though. Funny that our military will allow a Mexican National to enlist but not me, huh? Well, I'll just keep paying taxes & hope for the best. God bless all our soldiers & our country. We appreciate you!

My husband served his time in the military when he was
younger, sir. Yes, we both support this war against
terrorists. When the Democrats pull our troops home,
and the terrorists take over over there, and then come
over here with their murdering and suicide bombers on
our streets, maybe then you anti -war people will wish
we'd stayed and fought them instead of waving the white
flag. We are the superpower of the world.....why should we
cut and run? There is progress being made over there and
if you'll listen to Ollie North, Geraldo, and Fox News they
will show it to you. You probably won't see this on the regular
news (ABC, NBC, CBS) shows as they too are anti-war and
only want to give you the body count on their shows (which
by the way, is smaller than murders taking place here in the
US, of citizens against citizens) Now, why don't you go sign
up to preserve the freedoms we enjoy in this Nation?

I'm not allowed to play anymore - Uncle Sam let me hang up the uniform after 20 years - so they won't let me go back. So now I work for my country as a civilian employee - still giving direct support to the US military. I served with pride, and still support those that are now serving with pride. I'm pretty sure your recruiter's office is open tomorrow. Man up.

I done my time. Two tours Viet Nam. What have you done lately to help our country???

You better damn well believe I support this war...Even if it's to help protect the likes of you and your Liberal Socialist Brethren. Really is a shame though, that our good men and women have to fight to protect the likes of you.

Ok, Libs, get your dirty little thumbs down ready. Every time it happens, just an indication of one more that can't stand the truth.

I do not support the war, I support, respect, and honor those who signed up.

Mind you, we send $$$$ to Wounded Warriors, Hospitalized Vets (HVH), and USO among other things. That is how we support the troops because many (if they are lucky and make it home) will return to the States with missing body parts, burns. blindness, and messed up minds. Someone's got to help them if the VA lets them down.
