Well, whatever you do, don't stoop to her level. Personally, I think you need to confront her, be honest, don't yell or call her names, and tell her exactly how you feel. If she keeps it up, talk to a supervisor.

I actually work with my sister-in-law, too. And she tried to start drama once. We worked it out and now we get along great. But it took a few years for us to learn to accept one another. But that's not necessarily how all situations turn out, unfortunately.

I wish you the best of luck!

I wouldn't stoop to her level if she's like that a question you can put around is......if she talks behind my back so easily she must do it to others....but one thing that you can do is confront her in a meeting with the DON there at the nursing home. I'm sure she probably knows there is tension there between the two of you and would like it to stop as well.

Another think that you could do is work opposite shifts as her. Unfortunately she's a nurse and your an aide. Me being an aide also for over 14 years their more likely to replace you before they replace her. If it gets really that unbearable and you've exhausted all your resources then look for another job in another nursing home or even home health care. Aides are always needed everywhere.

Good luck

tell her her presense is making you very uncomfortable, and her gossip is alienating you from other people.
