A new twist to making cupcakes...put the brownie mix into a cupcake pan. Then ice them, arrange them into a "theme" what ever is her favorite sport...ie if she runs track...arrange them in the shape of a track decorating them in the event that she runs. If you can find little ppl who look like they are running place them as if she is winning! Having the "finish line" be her birthdate & her "running time" be printed as the time of her birth! GL

Depends how old she is--Cupcakes are good for younger kids (up to 1st, 2nd grade) because they each get one to hold and eat--maybe with an action figure on top etc--or some other little toy..it is easy and quick and they don't ahve to worry about eating with a fork--or waiting to get a piece cut for them--With older kids, they might appreciate a more intricate cake design, etc...Since you daughter likes brownies--do a brownie cupcake thing if she's younger or make some kind of brownie cake and put her favorite icing on top...You haven't mentioned her pie preference so I'd go with a brownie cake/cupcake with icing. Have fun:)

Off to the grocery store! You can get a beautiful sheet style cake for large parties. To make this young ladies birthday extra special, grab a box or two of Pillsbury Brownie mix. The brownies are quick and easy to make, and it is something made by you, the store does the hard work. Gives you more time to decorate too! Add a candle or two on the brownies too. Bring those out afer the guests have left. Have your camera ready to capture the surprise on her face.

I don't know, I'm usually lazy and I goto walmart and buy my cakes. But I guess it depends on how old you daughter is. I know for my little ones I usually just makes cupcakes. But for my older ones, I will go and get a cake. The fact that she doesn't eat the cake, only the icing, I think cupcakes would be better. She could have her own cupcake with her own candle.

Make cupcakes unless you have a specific theme in mind to decorate the cake. That way each kid can get their cupcake & take off with it. When I was a kid & went to parties I always hated standing in line waiting for my piece of cake to be cut.

she wants a cake. give her a cake and make it have a lot of icing. you could also make a plate of brownies to just put on the table with the cake and have a few cookies to go with it. hope she has a super birthday.
