It is not necessary to print out your tax forms in your situation, but I would advise you to do it anyway. Since you've already filed, I would not run out and get a new print cartridge today, but when you do get new ink, go ahead and print yourself an archival copy of your return.
I would also recommend a second long-term storage alternative. "Print" your return to a Portable Document File (PDF). You can save this on your hard drive or networked storage, and if you have trouble finding your paper copy in the future, you can use your electronic copy. I do this. I also scan all my "workpapers" that I used to come up with the numbers on my return. Keeping an electronic copy is the way to go, if you ask me.

It's not required by law or anything that you print them out, but you might need them later for a variety of reasons. If you can still print them, it would be a good idea to do so. If you don't and need them later, you can order a transcript from the IRS but that takes time.

Yes you do, because if you get audited, you have to cover your butt...because the government will have there's covered! My suggestion to you is to either print it out at a friend's or relative's house, library, Kinko's, or go to Walgreens and get your ink cartridge refilled. Good luck!

since you did it online you don't NEED to print out your tax returns. But if the tax man decides to audit you, you're gonna need those forms.
