I'm sure costs vary depending on where you live. I would expect (to be on the safe side) $300-$500. I work at an animal hospital and from the places that I have worked I can give you the general run-down.

They will definately charge an exam (or should) before doing any surgery. exams are typically $50. At the exam they will want to check a stool sample for worms they usually run about $20. Granted that the kitten has parasites a dewormer it probably another $20 for a basic preventative. There is a high chance that the kitten will have parasites most puppies and kittens do. Some parasite require multiple treatments some just 1 pill given once. The vaccines will not all be able to given at the one visit. Some vaccines need to be boostered in2-4 weeks which means more visits and possibly recheck appointments depending on the vet.
Most animal hospitals require pre-operative bloodwork before any surgical procedures, the bloodwork probably costs about $50...even for kittens who appear to be perfectly healthy. Some animal hospitals also require a pre-operative ECG to make sure their little heart is okay too, I would guess about $30-40 for the ecg maybe less depending on how they do it. The surgery cost itself for neutering probably costs $100-$150 depending again on the area and the animal hospital. You can see it all adds up quickly. And I'm not including the costs of the vaccine which are probably $20-30 each.
It can be very expensive which is why I wanted to give you a high number, just in case.
Also, keep in mind these are just costs for maintenance animal emergencies are VERY expensive.

I wish you the best of luck!!!

I rescued my cat from the shelter. I payed only $58 and that included neutering, the first set of vaccines, and one free vet visit to use within a certain amount of days, which I used to get him dewormed. Not all shelters do this of course. This one happened to have the policy that all cats had to be spayed or neutered before leaving the shelter. Also a lot of vets have cheap shot days where if you come in on that particular days it costs less to get their vaccines. My vet does in on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm or some time span like that. Otherwise if you don't get all that I did it will probably be $100-200.

Well. Vaccines total about $50. Deworming is about $6 dollars every 3 months for tapworming, and go to your local petsmart and pick up a roundwormer its about $7 dollars and will last a year (its a liquid). If you get your cat neutered at a vet expect at lease $75 dollars. Spaying at a vet is at least $100. If you get your cat spayed at a local SPCA that has a spay neuter clinc you can get it for half the price plus usually a free rabies shot and half the price of a shot for distemper. Get your cat fixed at about 12-18 weeks. Before they start to spray or go into heat. Probably if you go to a vet with vaccines and spay/neuter your looking at about $200. If you go to a local SPCA your looking at about $100.00. Good luck.

P.S. at the SPCA a Vet operates on your pet not the workers. lol. just so you know. thats where I took my 3 cats. They were great. If you need any more questions contact me at minpingurl1@gmail.com. I can help you look up any SPCAs in your area if you want. Good Luck

...shots, neuter/spay, all the goodies....about $150-but, you can go much less, or much more....avg. cost of a spay is about $75...neuter, $50...shots, $50...cat pan, scooper is only a couple bucks...may i suggest Feline Pine for your litter? i've recently tried it....i like it...cats are ok with it, and, i swear, THERE IS NO SMELL....and i have 8 cats, 3 boxes...
vet costs are widely varied, even in the same town! you might get $ help with the "fixing" part--some animal shelters offer incentives, they work with local vets, etc.

best of luck!

Call your local veterinary hospital. Not trying to be a smarty-pants, but go in and get an estimate. That will be your straightest answer. Try to get one that is already vaccinated, etc. They are out there, thousands of kitties need homes.

It's different everywhere, just call the vets in your area and ask them, they'll be happy to tell you. If you get your kitty from an SPCA or Humane Society they usually come with all that already done.
