this may be a stupid question, my girlfriend and i both love eachother very much and in november of '06 i gave my girlfriend a promise ring for her birthday and she had me put it on her right finger. and today she told me that she is now wearing it on the left hand to get the message accross that she is taken.. we are both of the catholic religion and beleive and have remained faithful to the abstaining until marrage so that has nothing to do with the situation. is she trying to get the hint accross that she wants a new ring on that finger or is it something else?

techinally, there is no right answer for this question. She culd want you to ask her to marry her or she coluld just want to let everybody see trhat she is taken so she won't have to deal with the guys who hit on her all the time so I think you should bring up the marriage thing and she how she responds but it matters what you think. Do you wanna marry her now or do you think it's early or your not ready. If you love her that much and really want to wake up and she her first thing in the morning and go to sleep to her to her at night, ask her. If you don't feel like your sure, relax and sleep on it.

My wife did that for a while with a ring I gave her while dating. She said she wanted to let the world know she was taken. I didn't marry her until after at least 5 years of dating. It doesn't sound like your girlfriend is pushing marriage she is just happy to be yours.

If after relationship for a twelve months you're actually not gentle speaking to eachother then there's a controversy. She ought to be attempting to tell you something, or not. the only thank you to renowned is by using speaking!

Well since I'm a girl, I would have to say so, because, if a guy I'm in-love with gives me a promise ring(I'm catholic too btw) I'd probably put it on my right hand too.

You got it. She wants more jewelery. Preferably diamonds, but anything expensive will do the job.
