Sometimes I feel like stopping and walking but I try and push myself not to stop and keep running. I try to convince myself it's not that far to go. Sometimes it works, sometimes I'm just not head strong enough.

How can I keep pushing myself to keep jogging and not to get lazy and start walking?

I jog with my ipod nano and make sure that I'm always playing music that is very upbeat and fast. If I'm really struggling, I try to focus on the beat of the music rather than how tired I am. Once you get this pace going it makes it much easier to just keep going.

Also, on a side note, you may just need to build up your wind a bit. If you do start walking, time yourself. Don't walk for more than 30 seconds or a minute. Once you get your wind back a bit start running again and have a time-based goal that you want to hit before you walk again.

Good luck.

I always my girlfriend is at the end waiting for me, this may or may not work for you.

But, think about the thing you like the most, (choclate, money, new clothes, etc) and picture a ton of that waiting for you when you are done. And always try to look forward, even if it is far away, it will become closer with every step.

Also, running or jogging with a friend is always a good way to keep at a steady speed and keep going. When my friends are near me (behind or in front) I always try harder.

Good Luck!

We were just talking about this the other day....A good friend of mine is a jogger too, training for a marathon, and she's finding that her ex-boyfriends wife stalking her give her lots of motivation.
Sometimes when you think or picture what you don't want to be, it gives you like a spite motivation. I used it when I quit smoking and I'm using it to loose weight.
Good luck to you.

Think of how well toned and fit you will be. And try to listen to music, like some really crazy kind, that keeps you all hyped up. Or, I just resing a song in my mind over and over again, or think about something important or frustrating.

People who plan their weekly meals tend to be more successful at losing weight than individuals who don’t. Plan your dishes to feature healthy carbs such as fairly sweet potato and wholegrain pasta, greens and lean proteins, buy the many ingredients in advance and don’t be tempted you can eat out or order in.

Suck the item in. Consciously hold in and contract your abdominals while you’re walking, sitting your desk or making the supper. This will help to strengthen your abdominals and your core, and create for you one step closer to the flatter stomach.

Imagine your self running after a wagon of money or something funny like that. Try inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth a few times. that helps me.
