Your dog has ticks, not rabies.
Rabies is a fatal disease that can also kill a person who is bitten by a rabid animal.
The first thing to do when you get a pet is to have a vet give him a shot against rabies.
Ticks are nasty little bloodsuckers that can make your dog very sick if a lot of them are on his body. (A tick can also be very dangerous to a human because they carry diseases).
However, it is very easy to get rid of ticks. There are a lot of shampoos for dogs (and cats) on the market, also sprays and special collars that keep these little buggers as well as fleas, off your pet. Ask your vet to recommend one.
Don't use the "wart stuff'.
Yes, you can give your dog soup but be sure it isn't too hot.
Don't give too much soup because it can give your dog diarrhea.
Good luck

Well now that you have had your 15 minutes of fame, I'll answer this to amuse you! No it does not have rabies! Maybe you can go have some soup and think up more stupid questions! P.S. keep the wart treatment, you never know when someone might need it! lol

ITs not rabies, rabies is a virus (ever seen old yeller?) that is very dangerous. My advice would be to go to your vet (if you have one) and get flea and tick prevention (the crap at walmart is toxic to you and your dog) and rabies, distemper, parvo, parainfluenza and canine adenovirus vaccines for your dog. (I am asuming that your dog is unvaccinated since you didnt know what rabies was).

rabies is nothing you find on a dog. It is in there blood stream. do you mean that you found flee's or ticks? we need to know what you found in order to tell you how to remove it as they are not the same technics. I think you should see a vet for a diagnosis.

Um... I think you mean fleas... or maybe ticks... Rabies are a virus (or maybe a bacteria... not sure)... that lives INSIDE the dog's BRAIN... so no... it would be impossible to SEE rabies. If your dog has ticks or mites then i would recommend buying one of those flea and tick dog shampoo's and follow the directions. The shampoo "softens" the parasite's outer shell and they absorb water and "explode". Good luck.

Rabies doesn't show in the hair and is 100% fatal. Now perhaps your talking fleas (Little flat insects that jump like RABBITS) or ticks (they don't jump)? Best bet is some of the spot on products.

rabies, noun.
a virus disease that attacks the central nervous system of warm-blooded animals, causing mental disturbance, muscular spasms, and paralysis; hydrophobia. It is transmitted by the bite of a rabid animal, such as a mad dog or fox.
Your dog can't have rabies on their hair do you mean lice or ticks?

Rabies or fleas? I think you mena fleas.
Rabies is very serious, if it is rabies you need to get you and your family or who ever and get away from that dog. BRING it to the vet, they might not even want it, just get away from it.
If you mean fleas, there are sprays, pills, and other stuff the vet can consider.

I don't think that's rabies you found...maybe fleas???? And no, wart medicine isn't a good idea. Get a medcine designed for fleas. If that's not what it is take your dog to the vet.

Do you mean fleas?
Rabies would make him glass-eyed and foam at the mouth. He wouldn't want to drink any water.
If he has fleas, use a product called "frontline". look it up on 1-800-pet-meds. Do a yahoo search on it.
(if you aren't in the US the product might be marketed under a different name.)
