Why do you think size matters that much in the US Army? If it did, they wouldn't allow women to participate at all, when it comes to training in a man's army, or at least it was a man's army. There are very few jobs that require brut strength anymore. Most of the emphasis is put on building stamina and being able to do the average amount of sit-ups, push-ups, pull-ups, and of coarse, hiking ability.
In terms of defeating the enemy, the first thing that must happen, is the politicians stand aside and let the field commanders do their job unhindered by politics !

We would defeat the enemy, if Dem's would stop crying about the war and just let the soldiers do their job...leaving politics out of it.
You question about hormones is obtuse and repugnant..you really need to get a life.

The insurgency is using the stuff. The big problems are hostile mental disorders, ADD and increased risk of injury and the bone and muscle structure can't take the strain.

This isn't the middle ages, and we aren't fighting with swords anymore. Bigger fighters mean bigger targets.
