From what your explaining it's a little more confusing than how I tried out but I just recently tryed out for cheerleading...and made it so here are some tips that will REALLY help:

1.) Don't LITERALLY SING the cheer.-
Make sure you voice is SHARP, CLEAR, and SUPER LOUD for tryouts. It's going to be a little akward but I PROMISE that it's important.

2.)-When you do your Hi-V's. T's, and stuff...Make sure that you can see the balls of your hand in the corner of your eyes at all times. Remember to make your arms STRAIGHT and STIFF to.

3.)"CoolDude" is right. Usually before cheer try-outs they have a meeting or something to inform you what you need to do and get ready for try-outs.

4.) PRACTISE! Practising 24/7 is the best way to not forget your cheer...Everywhere you go practise in your head. and mayb e sometime before tryouts practise infront of your family and friends.

5.)Have funn and be NATURAL! The judges can SOOOO tell when you are not being yourself and acting more like a stereotyped cheerleader. In the danceroutine make sure you put a little spunk in it. be yourselg and be who you really are and the judges will acknoledge that!:D...

I wish you the BEST OF LUCK!!!!! If you have any questions about it you can email me...:D
