Hope you don't mind the book, but
I'm gonna tell you some things to help you out (and yeah it's going to take more than 2 weeks but it's all worth it!):
Muscle weighs more than fat. Muscle can burn fat.
If you gain muscle or get toned and lose some fat from aerobics, cardio kickboxing or American freestyle martial arts, dancing, sit-ups and pushups, light weight lifting, etc., you will gain more confidence (and because you lose fat and gain a toned body, you will maybe gain some weight due to the slight toning, or you can lose some weight if you have lots of fat or flubber on you). Just don't overdo it to simply lose the weight. Do it because you want to exercise and eat right and become healthier so you can look and feel better, I know you can, or you would not be here asking us!
Do something(s) you enjoy about 30 minutes to 1 hour 3-6 times a week, something that each week involves cardio, strength, and flexibility. As the fat rolls off and the toned body appearance will come on (give this about 6-12 weeks depending on what shape you are in now), you will gradually become more slender and in shape, fit your clothes better, feel better about yourself (something which should come also from within, special talents, knowing God loves you, and not just how much weight one loses). If you are already exercising and have hit a plateau, change the exercising around to something different so you and your body won't become too bored and to wake up your body to something different. Get some friends to work out with you and start a club at your school where all of you could meet in a basement, backyard, at school or church with permission, and so on... Or join a cheap or free club in the school or church if you don't have money to splurge on fancy gym memberships. And don't pick on yourselves about what you look like and how much weight you are losing or gaining or want to lose, but rather focus on the sports or nutrition, etc and encouragement of keeping up the good habits.
As far as eating, do not stop eating or your body may very well go into starvation mode and when you go back to normal eating, you will gain the weight plus more, or may even worse end up in a world of trouble. Just change what you are eating to healthier options, like whole fruits and vegetables, and whole-grain breads/pastas (if you eat white breads and pastas) instead of what you normally eat. Skip junk food if you can. It is not good for your health, and it is not good for weight loss (yes, even those so-called health bars may not be so good for you after all!). Do not increase or decrease the amount you eat (unless you get a doctor or nutritionist to give you the okay or to modify this plan--in fact, please print this as is and give it to your doctor, a nurse, nutritionist, or a health or gym instructor or coach who can tweak this and who can see what kind of shape your body already is in and who can find out your lifestyle habits). If you change from eating the typical fat-laden American diet to a more natural and healthy diet, you are automatically decreasing the calories anyway, so you might want to think about discussing calorie counting with any of the before-mentioned professionals. If you get hunger pangs, then eat by all means, but eat healthy, and don't eat too much or too little! One person I just recently heard about in my health class had 15+- lbs roll right off just by not skipping breakfast anymore! (I'm guessing for breakfast eaters it would be based on what healthier options they switch to eating too). If you crave something sweet, go for whole fruits you cut yourself and put in plain yogurt, insteaed of a candy bar or candy. Want something salty, and crunchy? Go for some salted nuts (think sesame seeds too) on your salads, and maybe add some homemade chicken nuggets that you cooked long enough to be crunchy (instead of chips). And yes it takes time to prepare this, but isn't it faster to prepare this than to go to the grocery store or fast food place and come back? Especially if you get prepackaged salad mixes and prepare your food ahead of time, so that when you need a snack immediately, you will have one. Do not eat fast food- I've heard from people who worked in that business, and it is just plain unhealthy and fattening. Do you see yourself in the future getting cravings for pizza or tacos? Make your own chicken and veggie pizza from scratch with whole wheat materials and choose healthier options in the taco aisle (like veggie or whole wheat shells instead of white processed). Sop the health and produce aisles with your parents. Be willing to try vegetables and fruits and recipes with these ingredients that are new to you. Also try to eat more organic foods or try to grow your own favorite vegetables. Stop eating fried as often, and used more baked, boiled, and steamed if it has to be cooked at all. If you do have fried chicken or baked chicken with skin on it, remove the skin as it is unhealthy. Don't microwave as often, especially not vegetable and fruit recipes, just slowly reheat them or eat them cold for maximum nutrient values. Stop drinking sodas, they are very bad for you. Try drinking plain milk (which has been shown to help people lose weight, you can do a google search on that), some fruit and vegetable juice, and most importantly water. If you absolutely need some caffeine, maybe ask your parents or health professional about options, but plain coffee and tea are healthier than all those additives and sugars and sugar replacements in sodas (Did you know that diet sodas don't help lose weight but tricks the body so that a person might eat more). If you have to have something sugary, splenda or honey may be a better choice than other sugar or artificial sugars. An educational show I watched said if you have ice water and do nothing else different you can lose a few pounds a year, but there are some who will say ice water is not good for you. Take a multivitamin for teens, one each day; I read somewhere that multivitiamins can help lose weight, and if you think you need supplements see one of the professionals I mentioned so they can better analyze the situation and what you need as you improve. Eat less red meats (like pig and cow meats), replacing them for the most part with fish as much as you can and then maybe some chicken or turkey (think ground turkey and veggie/soy burgers instead of a whopper from a fast food joint). The better you take care of your body, the better you will feel and the more confidence about your body and body image you will feel. After you have been on a healthier diet and exercise program for several weeks to several months, you may notice you feel more sluggish and less energetic or even kind of bad after eating something typical of the fast-paced American junk-food and fast-food diet, whereas you feel better when you and your body knows you are treating it right with proper rest/sleep (you will need this too if you can find time--it'll help rejuvenate you after a vigorous workout), good & proper nutrition and a healthy balance of exercise. Also don't just use the computer and yahoo answers as a resource for improvement; maybe try to get some magazines and books that promote health, sports, nutrition, etc. and increase your knowledge about such things so you know that you are continuing to improve yourself and you will feel better when you have this knowledge than when you don't (Think straight A's [or A's & B's], slim, toned athletes and even healthy models & stars who eat everything on their plates and feel good about themselves and what they are doing for themselves and for their overall health mind, body, soul.). Think about losing some fat or flubber and fitting your jeans, tops, and bathing suits better instead of losing weight, because if you are worried about and focused more on the weight (unless you are in a physical sport that requires you to be a certain weight to be in a certain competition level) you are wasting time worrying instead of focusing on becoming healthier all-around with the side benefits of becoming slimmer, trimmer, toned, & more knowledgable. I can't promise you that this will help you lose 10 lbs in 2 weeks (which studies show that if you lose a lot of weight fast it is unhealthy and you may more than likely gain it back), but this is a better bet to looking really nice and feeling more confident about yourself because you have what it takes to achieve it, and you will probably get to where you are going by the time summer comes around. Also take before and after pictures of yourself and maybe keep a journal as you improve, and you may see the changes in you more and like what you are seeing! If you are losing too much weight and/or looking sickly, see one of the professionals I mentioned before, because you don't want to look bad and have low self-esteem from looking poorly and too skinny. Just make sure you have an accountability partner to check on you and help you out through this too. If you want to look fine and not too skinny and sickly, this is more the way to go, the healthy way.
