I dated my ex girlfriend for 4 years and she just broke up with me in December because she said she wanted to see what else was out there. She immediately starts going out with a guy who lives down the hall from her and has been dateing him since Jan. We are still on good terms and talk to each other a couple times a month and she talks to my sister a couple of times a week. When we talk she never mentions her new boyfriend unless i bring him up and never mentions him as her boyfriend. A couple of weeks ago she said that she was not over me in Jan or Feb but she is over me now, but that she still thinks about us from time to time. She knows that I am still in love with her and tells me that we can not hangout untill im completely over her. I want to get her back because she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. What should I do to get her back?

I dont think she's coming back...if a girl tells you that she is completely over you and looks you in the eye while saying this then she is actually completely over you. Go out have fun and take other girls out...you never know you might find someone who is even better than her...

This is really really sweet but like it just seems like she isnt going to come back. There are things in life that happen for a reason and even if you went out for four years maybe she didnt think highly as you do of your relationship. I mean like if i were you i would want to get her back as you are saying but if she is with another guy then you are probably getting really hurt , and this must get worst when she says she doesnt want to hang out with you unless you are over her. Also she needs to understand that some people will just love someone for the rest of their life and i htink that you might be one of those people. The best thing that you could do is just be friends and just carry that love with you and you need to tell her that you will never stop loving her and she needs to know that but just tell her you want to be friends unless she realizes that you two are meant to be together like you have seen.

Be honest and let her know how you feel. If she is not willing to get back with you, then you need to learn to let her go - as hard as it is. There is someone more suited for you out there - remember there are lots of fish in the sea, all you have to do is go out fishing and you will be surprised at what you can catch. When you catch another fish It may make the fish you were pining over look mundane and boring.

then be like "will you go out with me?" and she HAS to say yes, right?
and kill the boyfriend or sumthin...jkjkjk! but like make him leave.
