I know Im going to get some 'you must be so conceited comments' but think of it like this - we're always told as kids never settle for less than the best but what if you take that too far and you end up searching for the best forever? I personally dont understand how you can just be happy with joe or jane shmoe, when you never know if there could be someone better or perfect out there?

In my country, we have a saying: "Better is the enemy of the good". If you keep searching for something "better", you end up passing up a GOOD thing. I don't think making a good choice is "settling". If you're in touch with your "inner self", have a good intuition, and have confidence in your decisions - you will know the "good" when you see it, and it won't feel like "settling".

There is no such thing as a perfect person. Perhaps there is someone perfect for you to fit your character and needs. However, with that being said, it's more like what are you willing and capable of offering to a partner? When you figure that out, then you will most likely know what you are looking for and know how to recognize him when he comes along.

that's just it. there is not such thing as perfect. if you sit around and wait for that you will never be happy.
i have had and i know that guys have had 'hang ups' about me. but i look at the big picture, and say 'wow, he has this good quality, i'm going to look at that, and put aside this other bad quality'
because i'm not perfect, i can't expect perfect..
everyone wants 'the best' don't we all deserve 'the best'?
only you can decide what 'the best' is for you....
keep that in mind.

Duh isn't something better then what it is now, you must think that your all that or something what makes you so sure someone will want you geeez the best is not always good because money can't buy love nor happiness but finding someone that you can be happy with someone that makes you laugh someone that loves you for who you are and not what you have last a lifetime and that is priceless

If you "settle" with someone that means that you like them. There's no such thing as *PERFECT* anyway. In every human being there are flaws. You have to find someone who has more likable qualities.
