I have made the mistake of blow-drying my hair, and straightening it everyday. It is all dry and a big frizz ball! Also, I live in AZ so the heat doesn't help. I have tried buying all the hydrating shampoos and conditioners they advertize on tv but none seem to be working!!! What is the best shampoo and/or conditioner to use?

well i like the ausi brand shampoo/conditioner... and also buy a good leave in conditioner... sunsilk is good... but sadly to repair the damage you have to get a trim at least once a month and drastically cut down on the heat damage go natural a few times a week.. or just add mousse to wet hair to style.

I had the exact same problem. Maybe even worse actually because my natural hair is very dry and frizzy and I've been straitening it since I was 14 years old.

I am still getting my hair straitened every 6 to 8 months so my hair stylist gave me a special leave-in conditioner for 40$ but it never really worked so decided to look for something good myself, and I found it.

It's actually an Israeli conditioner called Hawaii. I used to live in Phoenix Arizona so I know they have some Israeli stores there but I don't remember exactly where. The name Hawaii is usually spelled in Hebrew though. Israeli hair products are usually very good so it's worth trying them out. Hawaii usually makes the hair very soft and at the same time it becomes puffy. But I guess it depends on the person and the type of hair that he/she have.

Another thing that helps my hair a lot is Serum. The name of the Serum is called Joico (K-Pak). It helps me a lot.

Best of luck!

leave in conditioner from brands like Garnier Fructis, Pantene, and Vive should work fine. Pantene Pro-V Restoratives and Infusion-23 products are the best for unhealthy hair that is still being applied heat to. For you frizz use Frizz-ease and get a trim to get the split/dry ends off!

I completely understand because I straighten my hair all the time too. What seems to work is the shampoo and conditioner from Enjoy. My hair stylist recommends that as well.

I use Aussie Moist shampoo and Aussie Sydney Smooth conditioner. It seems to work for me. Also, after you shampoo take a 50/50 solution of Apple Cider Vinegar and Water and pour it through your hair. Sure it smells at first but it really helps and the smell is gone when your hair is dry. Make sure to condition the ends of your hair to prevent split ends.

You can buy small tubes of V05 hot wax. You soak the tube in hot water (like in a coffee cup) then twist to open it, massage it in to your wet hair, leave it on for a minute or two then rinse. Wash hair normally. Its good.
If you can't afford anything else, try olive oil from the pantry, same method.
After a couple of treatments from then on shampoo your hair with very mild shampoo for while to help it recover.

Stop washing your hair with shampoo, use only conditioner. this is the answer - try Deva products, they are the Best. I had the same problem for years until I found this solution. Sodium Laureth is horrible for your hair and is linked to other health hazards.

Well you should go to a proffesional at a salon and they can do something. But to shampoo your hair you should use either Loreal Vive pro or Herbal Essences Hello Hydration.

I always use the loreal intense repair range including a weekly treatment, which is the most important. Perhaps you can get a heat protecting spray for your hair to use bfore you blowdry or straighten. ghd or paul mitchell have these which are great.

put on conditioner
and leave it on for a day
i read this on a hair care website
it works, because i tried it
even sleep with it on if you want.
the next day, wash it out with a gentle shampoo
it will be instantly hydrated!
