I occasionally get a zit or two and they ussually go away within a few days. I have very clear skin but i have really bad clogged pores on my nose and its embarassing cause I cant get close up pictures without them showing up in the photo looking 100 times bigger than they actually are. Perfect exapmle my stepdad was messing with the zoom on his new camera and I was the only one around so I was the guene pig he put the picture on the computer and he called everyone to the computer pointing at my nose where all my clogged pores are. To make matters worse he set it as the wallpaper on the moniter for the longest time and he threatened to show my boyfriend the hidious picture of my nose. So anyone know any home remidies or a product you have had success with?

You don't say whether you're currently using anything on your skin. If pores are clogged, products with salicylic acid (BHA) are usually recommended. It's a lipid soluble molecule that can penetrate and exfoliate inside the pore. To work properly, it should be the proper pH (it's an acid and should be at low pH < 5 at least), with 1-2% SA. You could also try alpha hydroxy acids (AHA)'s, which are not lipid soluble, but are pretty effective exfoliators and can help by sloughing off skin (and hopefully the crud inside the pore at some point), again look for the proper pH, but start low (5-8%) as skin has to get used to it.

Here are products which have a good pH that I've tried and help to keep my skin clear:

Beyond belief scrub/cleanser/moisturizer -both AHA and BHA (sally beauty supply)
Neostrata - AHA lotions and cleansers (8-10-15%) lotion (online-skinstore.com has good prices)
Paula's choice(.com) (online, ebay too)- AHA's and BHA's, no fragrances which can irritate the skin

Some drugstore brands are mildly effective, but are usually at higher pH and contain lots of other junk, so I tend to avoid them. A good scrub (be gentle) or mask (crushed aspirin in a paste works-this is salicylic acid, buy uncoated aspirin) may also help.

And tell your father to knock it off. Would he like it if you took close-ups of his paunch, receding hairline, jiggly jaw or the bags under his eyes? Probably not.

Good luck!
