Try T-Gel. I think it works very well but just make sure you use a good conditioner after shampooing. My sister (who is a very experience hair stylist) says to not wash it everyday if your scalp is dry. Also, she told me that I scrub my head too hard and that I'm actually peeling skin off my scalp! I've done This "scrubbing" all my life and I can't change this annoying habit. So don't do THAT either. Hope this helps.

The best way I get rid of dandruff is get a salon recommended shampoo for my hair. Some shampoos are stronger than others, but I personaly use Head&Shoulders or Pantene.

Tar shampoo. Apply to the scalp, leave on for 30 min. Wash off hair thoroughly. Then use the shampoo to wash hair like you regularly would. Condition as usual. It will get rid of all your dandruff.

I've tried every shampoo and I can tell you that T-Gel is the best there is. It will get rid of your problem in a week. Try it. Head and Shoulders is worthless

well it may be the shampoo you are using for example PANTENE PRO V causes you to have white flakes falling from your hair as there is a chemical in it which does this so try different shampoos and if all else fails go see your doctor x

You might want to switch shampoos. My friend used Selsun Blue and it worked fine for her. You might even want to try Head & shoulders as your regular shampoo.
