99% of the responders on this site seem only to do so to argue or insult. Yahoo says this is a web site to learn and enrich your life hopefully thru intelligent dialogue. If anyone gets angry or offended at what I say, I can't help that. Don't like it? Don't read it. Who's FORCING anything on you? Opinions are a waste of time. Truth & facts are what matter. What I say can be backed up by the Bible (chapter & verse), the Constitution, or cases in court. If you can't respect my right to believe as I do, why respond? The Constitution says NOTHING about "separation of church and state". Don't believe everything you hear and go read it for yourself. I have a copy. Freedom of Religion applies to every religion - not just my own - so don't single mine out. The ACLU is trying to outlaw ALL nativities in NYC, even private. And one of you said they're fighting for MY rights? Get real. Get informed before responding. Our OPINIONS are meaningless re: religious matters so why bother? Insults?

Very well put! Our only right as a religious person is the right to lose our ability to practice our faith. True it is nothing like the persecution that was delivered in the days of the Bible, but it is still ridiculous!

If God offends you then stop spending money! That is right read what our money says about God on it. So those that spend money are the true hypocrites!

The Freedom of Religion guarantees everyone the right to worship (or not) as they please, without interference from Christian Fundamentalists who attempt to stifle any religious viewpoint they disagree with.

Separation of Church and State is definately in the Constitution, even if the phrase itself doesn't appear--obviously you have read but not understood the First Amendment.

Your gibberish about the ACLU shows that you've never actually researched their position on nativities, Xmas, or religion in general.

Some of us come here to debate or answer questions from the curious.
Atheists' do not get offended by the beliefs of others. We just don't like them. We do get offended or angry when others try to pass laws that try to force everyone to live life according to their beliefs.

If you think that separation of church and state is not a part of the constitution you are wrong.

If you are offended when people disagree, why do you come here because its a rather open forum and you will find people that do not agree with you

I am am a person of faith and I find it interesting to hear others perspectives and I am not offended if they do not agree with me. In fact, I believe it strengthens my faith by challenging it.

Indeed, some people come here to be intentionally provacative, but I dont see how you are not doing the same things. The questions is why do you come here, if you only want to hear similar views and why do you find those that dont see you so threatening?

I'm not sure what you're saying. Why should religious/spiritual people come to the R&S Section???? Where ELSE should they go??? If you're mocking atheists who ask the reciprocal question, that doesn't work because the very WORD 'atheist' means 'no god', which implies a rejection of religion and spirituality. It appears that you are complaining to the wrong people about the wrong things.

Yet you're displaying the very behavior you accuse others of portraying. Child of God, this is not Christian behavior. There is much anger in your messages, and posting questions of this nature stem from a spirit of devisiveness, not the Lord. Please go to God in prayer. Blessings, Miji

I'm sorry, were you saying something?

Yeah, questions like this about/to us are what pulled me to this section to begin with...so only yourself to blame for continuing the trend.
