what would you do if you caught your husband in bed with another woman, what if they told you that jesus sent them a message telling them to do this?

Leave before I did something I couldn't undo. Cry my eyes out.

He is a firm believer in the Bible being complete, so if he said something like that, we would both know he was simply lying and shirking responsibility.

Eventually I would hope to work things out in counseling with him. We have too much between us not to try and forgive and work things out.

Thankfully, he still tells me he thinks we were made for each other, so I'm not worried about this happening. But, hypothetically, if it did, that's what I'd do.

Knowing that he was lying, I would ask him if he intended to give up his adultery and go to counseling. If he would not, I would seperate from him and pray that he would repent.

Divorce would definitely be on the table at that point since he is:
A) Committing adultery
B) Bearing false witness
C) Is either crazy, or has no respect for the Lord

I would know that this couldn't have been a message from Jesus since the act you are speaking of is not consistant with Who God tells us He is.

I would throw his rear end out of the house and tell him to ask God to forgive his blasphemy. Jesus would never tell someone it is okay to commit adultery! He would be hoping that I was stupid enough to fall for it. Then there would be some major psychotherapy in store for him!

If he says it was doing it because Jesus told him to, then I'd hit him with a broom, because he's a liar.
He'd be way better off just saying "my bad";

I would say that he's full of crap ... but luckily my husband wouldn't do something like this. :)

Jesus spoke specifically about marriage, divorce, and adultery ... and to order a man to commit adultery would be against the commandments that he set for marriage himself.

I'd tell them that Jesus speaks in the Bible, and what he tells us is not to commit adultery. Why would he tell us one thing in the Bible, and then tell us something elese? Take care, and best wishes.

Her conscience should do enough.

She should be right on along the path to Hell by defacing the call of God in efforts to cover adultery.

I would divorce him. Plain and simple. I know that God would never ask that. Besides, my husband isn't a Christian, so I would know he was lying.
