Why do Americans hate Mexicans, yet they travel to Mexico and go on vacation? Should Americans be considered illegally there, therefore be deported and be treated like the Mexicans get treated in America?

OK, first of all, I am a U.S. Citizen. I know that a lot of you complain about illegal immigrants taking your jobs, but how was that? How did they take your jobs? Maybe it's because they were never your jobs to begin with. I bet you people who are citizens wouldn't even think about working in the fields in the summer heat. I know I wouldn't! My point is that many immigrants (illegal or not) suffer to get here and Americans don't have to suffer to go to Mexico or any other country. I own a business and I think I wouldn't even have my business if it wasn't for immigrants. My business makes thousands of dollars in taxes each year. I know immigrants have to pay taxes when they get their pay check right?

YOU HAVE A VERY GOOD POINT .I WAS BORN IN MEXICO AND CAME TO THIS COUNTRY AND LAST YEAR I BECAME A U.S CITIZEN.
THERE IS LOTS OF AMERICANS THAT HATE MEXICANS BECAUSE THEY CONSIDER US CRIMINALS AND THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE NOT ALL THE SAME JUST LIKE ALL THE AMERICANS ARE NOT .FOR EXAMPLE: 1.) YOU SOUND LIKE A LOVELY AMERICAN 2.)THERE IS A LOT OF IGNORANT PEOPLE THAT JUDGE US WITHOUT KNOWING US .THANK YOU FOR YOU THINKING LIKE THAT

First of all Americans (Well speaking for myself) do not hate Mexicans. Why shouldn't we be able to go to Mexico on a vacation ? Mexicans come here don't they, Some illegally, some get green cards. What upsets us is the ones who come here illegally take our jobs and want all these rights. Well I say " you want to come to our country that's great your more than welcome but get a green card. you want to stay in our country indefinitely that's great too; but become a citizen". We couldn't go to your country and sponge of it ;So don't do it to ours. You come here without a green card and get caught then that's your problem and you deserve to get deported. That's for all immigrants not just Mexicans. My grandparents were immigrants they came from Canada, They got their green cards and even became citizens, They worked very hard to support their family, The Goverment didn't give them welfare, money , a house or a car like they do to the ones entering the country today. But Americans treat people badly ! I'd like to see an American go to another country and get all of the things that our country gives, YA RIGHT ! WHAT A JOKE THAT IS WE"D BE LAUGHED OUT OF THEIR COUNTRY.

well actually you have to become a citizen of Mexico if you decide to live there so there rules are basically the same. And the reason Americans can travel to Mexico but not like Mexicans to come here is because they are double standard assholes. They think certain rules apply to them on certain things and at certain times but not to others!! yeah!
for those who answered the question :
And for the record STOP saying the mexicans come here and steal your jobs that is crap. They get jobs because unlike half the americans i know they arent lazy people. They work hard and even work holidays without bitching. So stop accusing the mexicans of stealing your jobs because its getting really old!

FYI, the immigration laws in Mexico are harsher than they are here. If a US citizen wants to live and work in Mexico, he has to do it legally just like here. Mexico can a does deport people who violate immigration laws. A Mexican who has the money to go on vacation to the US can get a visa and come and spend money and go home, just like we do.

Don't forget--not all Americans dislike Mexicans. Many Americans are Mexican-Americans as well. Mexico needs the money of the tourists, so I don't think that they would prevent Americans from vacationing there.
Don't ever do anything wrong in Mexico. Mexican jails/prisons make ours look like country clubs.

Just to set the record striaght give me the name of one person who was mexican that was here in the united states on vacation and got deported for reason. The people who get deported are the ones who are illegally so get the facts straight ! And those who are getting offened to some of the answers. Where not talking about the people who come here on green cards who want to get jobs and make a new life for themselves. so get off your soap box. KEY WORD ILLEGAL

No. American travel there legally. We have passports or Visa's. I live in so. cal. and we can't even cross the border anymore even with a CA drivers license. Plus we don't go there and demand that they speak English. They have English posted because they wouldn't make money without it. Also, the main point is, we're going there on vacation. We're not breaking the law by sneaking in, setting up residence, popping out babies on the governments bill, paying taxes, and we're certainly not hanging their flag upside down under ours. Plus Mexico would owe the U.S. even more money if they didn't allow tourism.

I take issue with you saying American's hate Mexicans ~~~ I don't. My son-in-law, Sergio's parents are from Mexico. They came here legally back in the 1950's.
I do not approve of people who enter our country illegally ~~~ I don't care what color, religion, or nationality they are.
What part of the word ILLEGAL doesn't the world understand ~~~ do you think any other country on this earth would put up with 16 million illegal aliens in their country !!!

If we are illegally there, go right ahead. Certainly we can't get jobs there unless we speak fluent Spanish, and could never run for political office, even if we naturalize.
However, we come back home. Mexicans tend not to.
Therefor there are very different impacts to generally allowing Mexicans to come here and allowing Americans to go there.
