These numbers are for 1 to 2 hunters and by species hunted, more hunters then you need more dogs.
Birds (pointers) normally 2 to 3.
Rabbit hunting 3 to 5 more then that get too out of hand.
Squirrel normally 1 to 2.
Raccoon normally 3 to 6.
Coyote normally 4 to 6.
Mountain lion normally 4 to 6.
Wild Boar normally 5 or 6.
As to the UK style Fox hunt 15 to 30 from what I’ve seen.
These numbers can very by personal preferences.
Hope this was of some help.

If your asking about fox hunting then none! They are hounds not dogs, and depends what sort of country you are crossing we normally take 12 - 15 and half couple out!
However it is banned but various forms of trail and drag hunting takes place.

What are you hunting for? My husband hunts whitetail deer and they use at least 3 dogs. It also depends on how many hunters there are.
