I was starting to like my guy friend and we were getting extremly close. I knew he was a nice guy bc we were friends. Well, I tried to break things off with him bc I didn't want to lose his friendship. He assured me that he wasn't going to give up on us being together and that he couldn't be away from me. He ended up causing me to fall even more for him and spent the entire night hugging and kissing. Well two days later, he tells me he couldn't be with me bc our religions are different. He said that it was on his mind for a while.
This is the virgin guy I was writing about. I told him that I was afraid of getting hurt and just wanted to stay friends and then he says, sadly, "I guess good guys never win"...and I ended up falling for it. I was happy being by myself, now I'm hurting really badly. To make things worse, we are cubicle neighbors, so work is aweful.
Why did he do this to me..he knew that I've been hurt too many times? Why didn't he leave me alone from the start?

Men love the chase and some of them, once they get what they want they move on. If he's a player your feelings don't mean anything to him. Best not to dwell on it. I know you are hurting but don't give him anymore of you tears, he's not worth it.

Try as best you can when you're at work to act like nothing happened and occupy yourself with other things. One day you'll meet a genuine man who'll love and cherish you. xx

Maybe he just wanted to be the rejector instead of the one being rejected. Some people can really be petty. Also, sometimes when the chase is over and you have caught what you were chasing, you realize you didn't want it that badly to begin with.

I think he was just trying to have a good time and didn't care how you would feel. Guys are like that, they tease you and then they tell you that you just imagined there was something, as if you were delussional!
You know what, just act like nothing ever happened. If he ever asks you if you are hurt you say: I don't what you are on about!

Sorry honey, but it seems a lot of this is going on lately...as in since time began. Males are males, and they need to feed their ego. But big problem.. they can't decide on which socks to wear yet alone what they really want in a relationship. GET AWAY FROM HIM and find someone who really wants to be with you

Maybe from the beginning he was scared that he would hurt you, and didn't want to do anything that WILL hurt you.He also maybe didn't know how to break it to you in a way that would hurt you.
