Here is what I have and I do not think it sound correct.
"There are two main types of fishing; Fresh water and Saltwater."

This is all I can come up with....waaaaaa

Actually, there's not that much difference between some types of freshwater fishing and some types of saltwater fishing. In many cases the only real difference is the flavor of the water. Sometimes, as with salmon or striped bass, you can get the exact same species in either freshwater or saltwater.

For sport fishing, you might do better to divide it by tackle or method (trolling, casting, flyfishing, bottom fishing) or whether natural bait or artificial lures are used. (By the way, all of these are used in both freshwater and saltwater.)

Or you might differentiate between those who fish for sport and / or feeding themselves and those who harvest fish for sale (though market fishing is primarily a saltwater activity).

Basically it depends on what you want to write about. Figure that out, then construct a thesis statement.

Nature has provided us with two types of water, salt and fresh.

Both types of water support two separte eco systems that provide diversity for fishing...blah blah blah

Saltwater fishing blah blah blah

Freshwater fishing blah blah blah
