Soapy water in a cat's ear can result in a ear infection. If you want try putting a cotton in it so the water doesn't leak through.

Cats hate water period. Its a good idea not to get water in your cats ear, however I don't think it will kill your cat .There is a great shampoo for cats made by hartz and its a flea shampoo and you put it on your pet with a damp cloth and stay away from their face follow the directions on the bottle but you don't have to rinse it or anything so its really nice and your cat wont be crazy about it but its a heck of alot better then getting your cat wet.

You cant get water in your cat's ear because it could cause infection or deafness. Outdoor cats turn their ears down when it rains, or they take cover. Worry more about the scratches you may get LOL, trust me i know.

You are not supposed to get water in cats' ears. It may cause infections, which could lead to deafness.
Outdoor cats turn their ears down when rain falls. It keeps the water from entering the ear canal.

Well, you don't really get water in any animal's ears when bathing them, because they can't get it out, and it could cause an ear infection of something. Also, in the wild, I think cats lay their ears back and go into shelter.

However it is always wise to keep water out of animals ears. They can, in some occasions develop ear infections but mostly Cats are waterproof.

Unless a cat has gotten into something, they don't need bathing. They keep themselves clean. If it is necessary to bath it, don't get water in its ears.

They'll be fine if they get water in their ears, just like you are when it happens to you.
The real hassle is keeping the cat from ripping you to shreds while you bathe it.
We had to flea shampoo our cat once and by the time it came to rinsing him, he was a shrieking spitting hissing clawing demon from hell. We grabbed the cat carrier and pitched him in that and tossed it under the shower while we bandaged our wounds. :)

The rain doesnt get in their ears since they have covers over their ears .Don't bathe your cat, they'll just get sick ingesting the soap. They bathe themselves.

You are to avoid it at all costs because it is extremely uncomfortable for the kitties. But if a little water gets in there it's no worries.
