Guys are not good enough actors. They start acting less attentive and wanting less sex. It is pretty easy to bust guys at their game, and if you question them enough, they'll break down and admit it.

There are a couple ways besides actually seeing him having sex with someone else.
1) A change in the amount of time he spends with you. You have to be careful to balance things out and make sure he's not been slammed at work, had family issues like a death, etc.
2) How he treats you. Are things not like they used to be? Is he getting frustrated with you more readily and more often?
3) The amount of physical contact. This includes sex, "cuddling" etc, is he pushing you away more often or is it status quo?
4) Phone calls, does he get phone calls late at night, or does he leave the room when he gets a call, talks quieter, etc.
5) Trust, do you trust this guy? This is huge on one day when he is "busy" you could check up on him or have someone else check up on him where he is supposed to be. NOTE: This is a last resort, if a guy feels like you don't trust him and violate his trust by checking up on him he will not be happy at all.
Hope this helps

I think the more important question is, "Why are you dating someone you don't completely trust?".
If you've been cheated on before, maybe it's time you started trusting again.
If you have real doubts, though, you may have noticed some hidden clues to make you feel that way.
Shouldn't you be in a relationship where you could be completely comfortable and able to tell him how you feel.
If he says that you have nothing to worry about, but you still feel doubt, perhaps your instinct is right. And even if he is telling the truth, clearly this indicates that you aren't ready to trust yet.
Hopefully I was some help.

I don't mean to be gross...but if he doing anything else with your body other than missionary sex (you on the bottom and he on the top)...he is doing it with others!
Of course you could ask him...but he probably won't tell you.
My advice to you, if you suspect that, don't take the chance of getting STD's!

Ask yourself a few questions
1 - is he attracted to girls?
2 - does he look at girls?
3 - does his penis work?
4 - are you giving him all the kinky sex he needs
If 1 thru 3 are true then it doesn't matter what the answer to #4 is - YES he is cheating

Is it because you dont trust him? If that's it right there, you will always doubt yourself. Other than that, flat out ask him. You'll feel it in your gut.

Ask him.
If he looks away or gets angry, he's lieing.
(I hope the person to whom I am responding isn't a man)

Short of him admitting it or you walking in on it, you really can't.
