I think Freddie will have Oscar come out very aggressive behind a good, stiff jab and have him cut the ring off and go to the body and try to force Floyd to fight and not move so much. Oscar has to establish right away his size and strength on Floyd and he can't wait or be hesitant. And he has to throw a good left hook downstairs whenever he traps Floyd on the ropes. Freddie is a good trainer and he knows that Oscar must get to Floyd early to slow him down. Another thing that wouldn't surprise me is if Freddie has Oscar turn southpaw here and there in the fight because Oscar is a converted southpaw and his power hand is his lead hand, and Floyd has a little trouble against southpaws as he was rocked by Zab Judah and Demarcus Corley, so i can see a good trainer like Roach picking up on that and having Oscar turn southpaw to try to rattle Floyd and give him an unexpected look. If i was training Oscar, i certainly would. Floyd is such an excellent technician that you need all the tricks in the book to beat him. I'm looking forward to a great fight on May 5th.

Freddie Roach will have to get into Oscars head that his ego can't get in the way. Floyd is faster, so Oscar shouldn't try to match hand speed or he'll lose. Oscar can not keep the fight inside the center of the ring if he does, he will lose. Oscar has to cut the ring off on Floyd if he doesn't, he will lose. Oscar has "Old legs" and can not stay on his toes for twelve rounds, he'll cramp up (Trinidad fight) if he tries, he will lose.
Freddie has to take a page from Gilberto Reyes textbook, (Gilberto is the man responsible for Julio Cesar Chavez destruction against Floyd's uncle Roger) and that's for Oscar to keep Floyd on the ropes an unload his left hook. Oscar does not have a very good right hand because he is a converted southpaw, his father Joel switched him around as a young fighter. So Oscars left hook is the key to victory. Floyd exposes his right side of his body because of his tuck and roll style, meaning that he keeps his left hand down by his waist but his right hand glued to the side of his head, he keeps the majority of his weight on his back foot thus exposing his right side of his body.
If Freddie has Oscar do this, he wins. If Oscar tries to outbox Floyd, he loses.
Thanks for the question.

I can't see him coming up with anything effective unless mayweather is slipping on fight night because he is the truth. But body punches should do the job if he can be hit enough times.

To come forward and destroy Floyd! Fight a bigger man's fight and be very aggresive, that's the only way Oscar can win. If he lays back, he gets out boxed. See Pancho's answer above!

Why not let Mayweather come to him? DeLaHoya should lay back let Mayweather come to him. DeLaHoya can put more punishment on him that Mayweather can put on DeLaHoya. Chasing Mayweather for 12 rounds is useless.
