If you have made a movie or edited pictures or any form of media in editing software, the files that you have edited are shortcuts to the original file. It has to source the video you have edited from somewhere on your harddrie. If you have deleted or renamed or moved the file, you will have to right click on the red cross and try to source the original file. If you click the "make movie" button or similar on your editing software, it will make the movie and gather the source materials, so you can view the movie even if the source file has been deleted. Check that you havent moved the file or accidentally deleted it, as the editing software has only a reference to the original file.

Is it occurring on every page???
Red X's occur when a picture can't be found. If you just had blank picture holders you could have an option deselected, but if you are getting them on every page you got a real problem, and since you can ask a question you have good Internet access. So hopefully the problem is the website not having the picture or a website down.

If its your own page that this is happening to, it means the links are either mistyped, not a valid format of picture, or the picture specified doesn't exist. If its happening in your internet browser, you might want to check to see if your internet is connecting properly. Lastly, delete your cache and cookies stored in you browser. It should be located under settings or preferences.
Hope that helps...

It may be a cache problem. Goto (Tools/Internet Options/Delete Files AND delete cookies) Also under (Tools/Internet Options/Settings) increase the scroll bar up a little. You might also have the setting off. Goto (Tools/Internet Options/Advanced) make sure the checks under "Images" are checked.

it could be a couple of things
1 you are running low on virtual memory a simple de frag and clean up would sort it
2 you may have increased your protection or added a firewall

It could be that the media that the icons refer to has been deleted or moved. I don't know what software you're using, but you could try to Reconnect the media, perhaps thru the file menu.
