I just read part of an answer. A person said it was wrong for Jesus to infect a heard of swine with demons, and then kill them. Someone replied that killing animals is not murder.I've had Christians tell me, it's ok to kill animals, because they don't have a soul. I wondered why Christians believe this. Even if you don't believe people reincarnate as animals; doesn't the animal have a soul, just as we do, because were both alive?

BELIEF ON KILLING ANIMALS-

Hindus consider the cow as sacred and its protection is a recurrent theme in which she is symbolic of abundance, of the sanctity of all life and of the earth that gives much while asking nothing in return. Most Hindus respect the cow as a matriarchal figure for her gentle qualities and providing nurturing milk and its products for a largely vegetarian diet. In Hindu mythology the cow is considered the mother of all including Gods and humans. It is believed that all most all Gods and Devas live in some part or other of the cow and hence it is considered as Holy and "GOPUJA" is done. She is considered to be the living symbol of mother earth. Hence why one of her names is Aditi which means mother of Gods.
Secondly Monkey is also believed as Hanuman.

So, Hindus are against killing of these animals only and eating their meat. Only some Hindus viz. most of the Brahmins do not eat non-vegetarian food but all others take non vegetarian food. Hindu's belief is based on their own reasons, vedas, Religious and mythological aspects.

Each God or Goddess have a Vahana in the form of an animal. In India people do not consider many of these animals as sacred. For instance COBRA is associated to Shiva, Vishnu and also in Naga Pujas is done by many, and also Rahu and Ketu, Tortoise, fish, Boar, have come in Dasavathar, Garuda (Eagle) is the vahana of Vishnu and considered as a part of Vishnu himself, Bull is of Shiva's vahana. So in general Hindus from ancient times remain mostly as vegetarian considering all these as per their believes. Time is changing and westernisation is on and new civilisations have come in and some do not adheare all this.

The communities and westerners who do not have belief on killing animals and eating them. It is up to them to act according to their religious beliefs and reasons. There is nothing wrong in it.

There is more life around you than you can imagine. There are thousands of microscopic isms on every inch of everything that are just as much as alive as you, me, the person who likes chicken, or a pig. But just because something is alive doesnt mean it has a soul. souls are reserved for things that can understand there exstance and are capable of higher thinking. And where in the bible does it mention animals have souls?

No, we were created different from the animals. We have souls and they don't. God gives us dominion over all of the animals on Earth, and so we're allowed to kill animals, although I don't think we should kill them for no reason. If it's for science or food that's fine, but it shouldn't be done just bc we can.

Animals are souls according to the Bible. Genesis 1:24--And God went on to say: "Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds, domestic animal and moving animal and wild beast of the earth according to its kind." And it came to be so. Genesis 1:30--"And to every wild beast of the earth and to every flying creature of the heavens and to everything moving upon the earth in which there is life as a soul I have given all green vegetation for food." And it came to be so. Also, humans are souls. Genesis 2:7--"And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of the dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul." So the Holy Scriptures clearly states that animals are souls as well as humans. Also, read Genesis 1:26-28. After the deluge in Noah's day, Jehovah God proceeded to say at Genesis 9:3, 4--"Every moving animal that is alive may serve as food for you. As in the case of green vegetation, I do give it all to you. Only flesh with its soul---its blood---you must not eat." So animals can be used for food after properly being bled, and also used for clothing. Killing animals for sport is not a Christian belief.

Hindus believe killing a cow is wrong. Because they see the cow as a giver of life and something sacred. My friend is Hindu and she eats other animals. Animals eat other animals, too. That is just the way life goes.

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come... Colossians 2:16-17
We Christians live by the word of God and believe on the word and name of Jesus Christ being our Lord and Savior; who left the "Comforter"who is the Holy Spirit, with us to inter pet the Word in our hearts, and if we ask in prayer The Father will give us the wisdom through His Holy Spirit to understand.

Animal souls are not immortal. Human souls are.

The Christian God gave animals to man for his own use, whether for food, or otherwise.

Animals don't know anything about death, about God, or about much of anything else.

They're really just self replicating, organic robots, marvelously crafted by God, for our good use.
