In the meantime, consider that when you undergo great stress your body uses enormous amounts of nutritional elements so one approach could be to go to a naturopath who can advise you. Don't just take this or that supplement - you may just waste time and money. Presumably you have your thyroid sorted out if not that is number one priority. Thyroid dysfunction will also affect nutrition so another good reason for seeing a Naturopath.
Another important thing to do is to look at what caused your stress and deal with that; you may need some help with that maybe from a good counsellor. Whether or not the stress is passed the effect can hang around for sometime and your system needs help to deal with it.
My suggestion would be to go to a homoeopath who can really help with that process. Once your system is really letting go of what has happened you will probably find your hair will grow back normally. So - Naturopath and Homoeopath would be my first suggestions but if you are able to give me more info i can be more help to you. The homoeopath will be able to point you in the direction of a counsellor if you need one. Look on the web for your nearest homoeopath, The United Kingdom Homoeopathic Medical Association is a good place to start.
You'll get through this but it will take a little time and effort - good luck!

Are you hypothyroid or hyperthyroid? I know if you are hypothyroid, the hairloss may stop if you switched to a natural thyroid medication. It has helped me. I no longer have hairloss on Armour and some of my thinning hair even grew back.

If you are hyperthyroid, then look into other treatments.

maybe I am in the wrong section but if its ongoing why not run a number 1 guage over the lot? its less noticeable when youre hairs really short and after a while people dont even remember what you looked like with longer hair! plus I guarantee you will never go back.......
scotlands short hair posse concurs with the answer given above. good luck and dont worry too much it could be much much worse and thats 1 less thing to stress about.
