How come in all of the hair color/cut questions, guys always say that they like long, dark brown hair?

At least according to my husband, long hair is good because it's soft and good to run your fingers through. The fact that men don't usually have long hair adds to the "viva la difference" aspect, which always gets you points. No idea on the color, beyond the fact that it's a bit more natural-looking, and suggests that the wearer is low-maintenance... at least, more so than a blonde!

Most guys do seem to like long hair. I think hair color preferences are more varied. I've noticed that too, and I start to feel bad cuz I'm blonde. I have some theories about it though. There is some stereotype that all guys prefer blondes, so I think all the guys who like brunettes just want to voice their disagreement. People love to argue. A lot of guys also just assume a blonde is fake, as if there were no such thing as an natural blonde. Blondes (mainly fake ones) unfortunately do come with a stereotype that is partly truthful. Guys say they hate the fake dumb blonde routine, but just send a girl like that into a room and watch the guys fall for it. From what I see in comments, guys just don't take blondes seriously. I've also noticed a lot of redhead love lately. I think it's just cuz most girls have brown hair, they're seem as more down to earth and "normal"

Let me tell you, thats not all guys. Its cause its not the norm. Blonde has become a norm in america. Not saying brown isn't, but its like this... Mexcans go crazy for blondes because Mexican women have black/brown hair. Its different, exotic. But take this advice... you don't want a guy that loves you for your hair!

Natural hair is the way to go, plus a lot of hot girls have long dark brown hair. me, i like red-heads.

One guy told me that any color on a girls hair thats not natural turns him off. Perhaps black is too common and brown deviates a little bit but remains natural. Maybe thats why...

it loks natural and doesnt look like they died it.they probaly like it long cause short hair looks like a boy and they dont want there gf to look like a girl!
