Many Mexican Americans believe that the process to get a green card is very limited and they understand and feel for another human trying to escape socialism! It is a sad scenario in which we cannot stop illegals yet at the same time we cannot allow for more immigrants to become documented at an economic rate that is satisfactory! I hate illegal immigration also but my heart goes out to those humans that just want to live in freedom like we do! What is really sad is the fact that the liberals and extreme conservatives try to limit freedom daily!

I guess it is because we can relate to them. No matter how many generations our families have been here, chances are that at some point some of our ancestors crossed over illegaly. If it wasn't for them taking a chance, leaving everything behind to start over in a new country, we probably wouldn't be here. That might not be the case for all Mexican Americans here in the states but probably is for a good majority of them.
