My son also did this and it was really hard, and what finally worked for him was when we completely redid his room (paint, new bed, new bedding, etc). Ever since then, he's been sleeping there every night, all night. It's been amazing & WELL worth the $.
I hope you get some peace soon!

Just say no...your the adult, you simply have to learn to not give in. There is no excuse for a child not sleeping alone by the age of 4 other than no one will make her. She needs to learn that what you say is the law now or in a few years she will never listen to you about anything.

She is a 4 year old and you are the parent - what you need to do is to bring her back to her bed every time she tries to sleep in yours. Don't talk to her, just put her in her bed, turn away, don't talk and then walk back. Do it as many times as it requires until she realises that "no" means "no" and that no matter how much she cries you remain consistent and true to your word. I know it sounds harsh, but it's for her own benefit. Good luck!

You have to be firm and keep placing her back in her bed.
The first time you walk her gently and say good night.
Every time she gets up after you just march her back. It sounds "awful" but I bet by the 10-45th time she gets out she will figure it out you mean business. If she wanders in to someones bed or room do the same - if you wake up.
I saw Super Nanny do this to a 6 year old child the other night who never slept alone. Took 45 times for her to get it (about one hour).
Good luck - :O)

my son went thru that and we bought a toddler bed and put it next to ours he was allowed to sleep in our room but not our bed. then after a couple of weeks we put it in the room with his brother. you will have to listen to her cry for a while but realize if you don't get her out of your bed soon she will be there when she is 10 and too big.

is she afraid of the dark, or scared of the 'boogy monster..?
if she is affraid of the dark get her a flash light or little night light.
if she is affraid of the 'boogy monster' maybe consider getting her a dog to sleep with her.
it is time that she learns to sleep on her own.
