They have to let you have at least four hours of sleep a night while you are not in the field. When you are out in the field, they can do whatever they want with you. However, they don't say it has to be 4 CONTINUOUS hours of sleep. but also keep in mind that there are ways around every rule, so the best thing to do is take what you can and don't complain.

You get some but you will be tired. So when you get the opportunity to sleep , sleep doesn't matter a ten minute nap under a tree, just get rest any where you can just don't fall asleep while the drill sgt are talking, not a good ideal

In the military, you learn to catch some sleep whenever you can...be it a few minutes or several hours. I still do that and I've been retired from the Navy since 1985.

That depends on you and your tolerance of noise, light, etc. The lights go out at 9 and reveille is usually at 4 or 4:30. That is the period allocated for sleep and any personal time you need.

By regulation, all recruits regardless of gender are required to be allowed to sleep for 8 hours each night. This is true throughout all of the military forces.

Don't worry, sleep in combat is even more fun.
Eight hours a night is required, but that in no way says that they won't "interupt" your sleep.

As many as you can get. I think in Basic we had lights out at 9 and were damn glad of it too.
