personaly if i wanted to lighten my hair i would go with the sun-in spray which lightens your hair when the sun hits it, but be careful not to go over board with it, or go with henna dying is natural.

Well there really isn't any way to lighten your hair w/o roots showing after a few weeks. However, a weave (which is just more natural highlights, it avoids that streaky look) with colors a just a couple of shades lighter than your hair color will lighten it without roots being too noticible after a few weeks....i would also suggest talking to your hairdresser...she/he might have some good suggestions...

I have my colorist do very thin streaks and she uses one light color of blonde and the other she uses almost matches my own hair color. She alternates these all over my head. I felt like you did and I didn't want to go that often due the cost. When it grows out, it looks very natural and I have waited up to 3 months before I had her do it again. Up until the the time I went, people would ask if I got my hair done. I would get embarrassed and tell them it had been 3 months and that I needed to go.

Yes it is but if you don't like the streaky look then it is not your choice.
