I think that i may have taken 4 8/500mg co-codamol instead of two. II was in a lot of pain and not thinking straight, took two and then suddenly i was not sure if i had already took two a 5 minutes ago.
I know that you are not supposed to take more than two at a time but just how dangerous is it to take 4, should i be worried.

Do not be scared. You will be fine. 2 grams of paracetamol won't put you in danger. It needs more than 15 grams to cause liver damage, so you are way far from danger. Be careful next time and always be sure of the dose you are taking.

Everything is dangerous if you take it in excess. Check the information on the pill container. If they're pills of 500 milligrams, you should be ok: it starts getting dangerous if you take over 4000 milligrams within 24 hours.

Medically they advise against it because the type of paracetamol may thin your blood and if you cut yourself, it may be difficult to stop.
However, having said that I have recalled an occasion where I took 5 for a migrane and came through it ok.
It's not advisable on alcohol either, it ca make you sick and dizzy.

Not really but try not to take anymore for at least 12-24 hours to allow your liver to metabolize it, huge doses will cause liver failure

You will be fine do not worry about it. Just be careful in future. There were times I had such bad headaches I took three.

your probably ok ,do not take any more , that is not an overdose you can take up to 8 in any 24 hours .

Not dangerous so don't worry .... but i wouldn't make a habit of it - too much paracetamol kills your stomach.
