The aim of religion is mind control. Spirituality is an aim in itself

No, the aim of religion is belief.

And I know the aim of Christianity is FAITH, not belief nor spirituality. A person can believe and be spiritual and still be going to hell. Without faith in Jesus, one is lost.

Aiming for enlightenment is termed "religious materialism" and certain, it also should be curtailed. the strong information is in case you in simple terms sit quietly and watch your ideas splash round on your head for 4 years or so, with out ever even consulting a zen draw close, you'll get some enlightenment -- honestly free. each thing that ever occurred to you in this life or a previous life remains occurring today. It's supposed to be the aim of religion. But it isn't. If anything religion tends to divide and separate people from one another.

The aim of organized religion is to take your money and control you. And in some religions, the aim of the priest is to molest young boys.

Yes, because people need something to ease their mind when death creaps up. If some people had nothing to comfort them they would fear death and that is a scary thing to do. God and Jesus help ease the tention and give us hope that we aren't just going to be buried and left for the bugs. The spirit is what carries us to the next life.

No, we all have spirits. Religion is a response to the question "where did I come from, and what is my purpose".

There are some religions, like atheism, which are godless. But they still answer the question, "where did I come from, and what is my purpose.

That is a very profound question.

Yes it is.

It very well could be a tool to point people to the knowledge that there is a God and He is spirit and so are we. That there is another realm beyond what we see and feel now.
