i had eaten the chicken, it was fully cooked no pink at all and by the bone and the piece of meat next to it was a long round green colored peace and not from any of the food around it. what could this be????? How could this happen?

While the chickens are being raised they are given all sorts of growth hormones and vitamins to make them grow faster (and fatter). These supplements have a tendency to turn the meat next to the bone either a green or red color, even when cooked to 160. To avoid this, next time look for an organically grown chicken. Or remove the meat from the bone before cooking.

could have been a tendon or a vein of some sort.... that just turned a funky color while it was being cooked. just watch out for any signs of a food related illness

sometimes the meat from the thigh will go a greeny brown color or maybe it was from the seasoning

ewwwwwwwwww wow ummm maybe the chicken wasn't so good after all, it probably looked and tasted good but in real it probably wasn't
