For the most part, I think new divrs are very caustious and considerate. Unfortunately they quickly lern that no one else is. Driving has it's inherent risks and the more one is exposed to thoe risks, the more the chance of beiing involved in an accident. There are lot of players to an accident, you could site peer pressure, but just about everything else you will find regardless of age.

This has more to do with new rather than teen drivers.
When in Germany the wealth got to a point where many people started to buy cars, the accident rate was horrendous at all age levels.
Teen maturity does have an impact! I got my license at 15 and taught driving at 17

I think the reason teen driving is unsafe is because they are inexperienced. So changing the age limit to a higher age would only change the age group of dangerous drivers.

Short answer - very.
Lack of experience is one thing, but lack of maturity is much bigger IMO. While mature people do recognize their lack of experience and adjust their actions to compensate for this, immature ones don't.
This is not to say that ALL teens are immature and thus dangerous - there are some teens that are more mature than many adults - but on average teens are much less mature, just because of their age.

yeah, statistically, driving is more dangerous for us teens. they say we have inadequate maturity levels(not me) and inexperience. We allways get in more accidents. So far, i don't fit that stereotype just to reassure you.
