I get like that too. But he calls you princess and angel?? That is really nice; he loves you! I had to ask my man numerous times to get me a little something. Talk to him about it, without complaining, just tell him it would mean a lot to you to have something from him that when you look at it reminds you that he loves you... Tell him that you would love a flower, or whatever... if he does give you one, press it in a book for a few days, then frame it; I did that...

im gonna be real wit u. how old r u? it sounds like u are pretty young, and if ur as young as u sound then i gotta tell u that u shouldn't stress urself out. u may really like dis boy but there will be others, either that or ur feeling a little insecure. it's okay though. ur probably thinking that i dont know wat im talking about and that yall love each other. if that's the case then why are u doubting his feelings. when has material things ever been a measure of love. ask urself this:how many things do u get him and is it really something that he would like? lets say u dont get him as many things as he gets u, does that mean u love him any less? so just chill and relax. why dont u get him something or do something that shows him how u feel toward him, like a special night out? u always feel good when ur the 1 giving or surprising the 1 u love and he'll probably want 2 do something 4 u too 2 show his appreciation, or just get something for urself like a shopping day wit some friends or manicures. If u still feel unsure, talk to him about how u feel or if ur to shy to just hint-in a classy subtle way b/c the only way he'll know what u want is to tell him.

I feel you girl, my bf says he loves me and cares about me all the time, I believe, but I get no such gifts or anything. I only receive a gift on V-day and my b-day. Guys don't realize that little things like a flower are ways to express your love, they are simple but they mean so much to us. I don't think you should doubt his love, some guys aren't romantic, but I would suggest you give hints because some guys don't get it. I would buy a flower and say oh my friend bought me this flower today to show me how much she appreciates me, I love flowers.... It's a thought, but this might actually work. Hope this helps!!!

The truth is he may not be that type who will you give flowers and so on. Maybe you could bring it to his attention. The thing you should be concerned about is.......Does he have your back? can you count on him? Is he available if you need him at 4 am? Those are the big things for me. Girl, to be honest with you........there are alot of women out there who are getting "flowers" from their men but they don't have peace of mind. Their men are cheating on them or treating them badly even though that are getting "flowers'.
Give your man some pointers on how to be more romantic. Love is more than just flowers.

Absolutely doubt his love for you. I was involved with someone once, that did nothing for me really. It was all me giving. Well, at the time I didn't really mind because its who I am. However now, when I look back, it was always me doing the giving and he never once initiated anything. I would move on. Some men are very stingy and selfish and want people to cater to them. And, when they don't, they sulk or pout like babies. Stay away from these types. Trust me, in the end, they end up with the cheap girls who are way below the bar.
Good luck.

You aren't wrong in wanting those things but I don't think you should doubt his love because of it. It wouldn't hurt to talk to him about it. But I'd say to focus on what things it is that he does do and not on what he doesn't do. It will make your relationship better, as well with everything in life, if you focus on the good of things and not the bad or lacking. I know flowers and all that are sweet but it shouldn't be anything that puts the relationship on the line. And also don't forget....boys are boys and don't always think of that stuff.

everyone feels and expresses love in different ways. be truthful with your bf let him know how you feel. make a wish list or a list of what makes you feel Good. tell him you'd like to know if he has special needs as well. I bet that the two of you will experience a stronger relationship. If you are to shy, then print up your e-mail and responses and hand in to him with some cards made up of special love coupons for him (such as a home cooked meal of his choice or a free hug & kiss).

No, you aren't wrong to feel that way. My man does the same thing. He's only gotten me things for my birthday, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. No surprise "I love you" stuff, no names like angel or princess...nothing. I think he cares for you, he just doesn't think about doing stuff for you. Don't look for flowers as much (I know it may be hard, since you really want flowers), but try to find something else he does that tells you he loves you.

Communication - Communication - Communication.
As a man, I am painfully aware of how the feminie psyche works in relationship to "wanting things from their man."
Usually it involves a lot of hinting. Or else it is just expected that we will be able to read the mind of the affected female and anticipate what we need to do.
That isn't the way it works.
If, in your relationship, you want something, you have to ask. YOU HAVE TO ASK!
The reason so many relationships fail is because the people think their partner is a mind-reader. Most people are unable to read minds.
Assume your man is dumb as a post - he probably is. Then tell him what you NEED to feel FULFILLED in the relationship. You may be surprised at the results.

I understand your feelings. I'm assuming you two have been together for a while. Most couples get into a routine over time and forget about the special little gestures that made the beginning of the relationship exciting. I wouldn't assume he doesn't love you though. Maybe you can start doing little things here and there for him, and hopfully he'll get the hint and return the favors.
