Other way around. When you have fever your body is burning extra calories just by the increase in internal temperature. So you have to eat in order to keep from feeling more weak. With a cold, your taste buds are just about dead anyway and it actually helps that you drink more but eat less.

well when you are feverish you really dont feel like eating to much but i recommend chicken soup for both the cold or fever
itis better to try to stay nourished either way :O} hope this helped starve a fever feed a cold is how I always heard it
