No. The dough in Cookie Dough ice cream isn't "complete" cookie dough. Baking dough has baking soda and raw eggs in it. Eggs hold the dough together when they're baking, and soda makes the cookies rise nicely. The dough in ice cream doesn't have raw eggs or baking soda in it, there's no need. So, taking the dough out of the ice cream and putting it on the cookie sheet will make flat bubbly goo with melted choc chips in the middle. =)

No. The cookie dough inside of the cookie dough ice cream sold in stores is NOT true cookie dough. It is designed to simulate the taste of real cookie dough, but would not bake properly.

My dad did that once years ago, it did work. Probably cook it for about 10 minutes at 350. Like others said, some brands may not have all the ingredients to make them rise properly, but it still works.

But if you want easy cookies why not just buy the Pillsbury cookie dough tubes?

It is in fact cookie dough but they do not add things like the baking soda and powder to allow the cookies to rise so no they wont turn out all that great if you took the dough out of ice cream and cook it

But it is good to add the cookie dough to vanilla ice cream and eat it like that.

I guess you could. One of my friend's friends did it and I guess they came out pretty good. You would have to get a lot of ice cream in order to make a normal sized batch.
