Jesus is the only intercessor. All believers in Jesus are Saints. There is no other way to God than through Jesus the Christ.
May God Bless you.

Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.
The communion of saints, the mystical body of Christ, and the whole church, is one big lovefest, separated only by state of existence, and nothing else.
Once baptized, there's no prohibition against communicating with anyone in heaven, as everyone there is on the same team, and is of God.
Any old testament prohibitions were there because, except for God and the angels, heaven was closed and empty, evil was in charge of the world, and nothing good could come of such activity, at that time.
And if Jesus really thought that no one else could assist him in his great work of saving souls, why did he select apostles, and why did he found a church?
Why is praying only through Jesus not mentioned in the Lord's Prayer, which he personally gave to us?
Once baptized, we Christians are a member of God's own family, and we have the right to pray to or with any other member of the family that we choose.
That would include the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and all the angels and saints.
You would think that all those Bible believing Christians who claim to have a personal reationship with Jesus, would know that.

This is true that the dead saints are awaiting for resurrection that is why we have the Holy Spirit who is the intercessiour for us. The Holy Spirit prays for us from our hearts, because we don't know what to really pray for so The Holy Spirit intercessed. It knows our heart. I was brought up a catholic and went to a catholic school, but we never studied the Bible, we only read verses that were never explained. So when I was invited to a Holiness Church and the Preacher began to speak His message it was like He was talking too me,and suddenly I began to cry and pray then all of a sudden I was rejoicing and speaking in a voice that I could not controll the Lord had touched me and filled me with the Holy Spirit. It is a feeling that I can't begin to explain but it put my life in order of the Lord and my life has been blessed and filled with the Spirit, that of Fire, Filled with the Holy Spirit. Fast and Pray be sincere from your heart and the rest is rejoiceful. His angels are all around us in the flesh, you must just believe in Jesus Christ who died for our sins and there is no way to get to God except through his Son Jesus Christ in Jesus name I pray, Amen. Becareful how you entertain strangers for you might be with a Angel.

I am Catholic. We do also have guardian angel prayers and prayers for Saint Michael the Archangel. Thank you for trying to understand us in a respectful manner. I think i will ask St.Francis to pray for that other david m so he can find peace. The Saints are not any more dead than we are. They are in Heaven with God now. Peace be with you

Yes we can pray to the angels and ask their intercession as well. However, the saints are not dead. Jesus Himself said that those who follow Him "will never die". I believe Him.

I was raised Catholic. If it was official doctrine that the saints were dead, the information missed me. Mary was central to my childhood, but then she was assumpted bodily and didn't die. Or so the story goes.
Either they got to go straight to heaven, being saints and all, or it just didn't matter. I don't know what the academic theologians like Aquinas thought on the matter.
But look at it from a historical perspective. As the Roman Empire invaded and Christianized Europe, they either demonized or canonized the existing local deities. Prayer to the saints, in very practical terms, was about easing the new 'citizens' into Christianity. The Romans cared primarily about crowd control; theology was a tertiary matter.

Catholics do not die. Jesus is not dead. They receive the body and blood of Jesus. They change they do not die. This is why we pray to the Saints who are in Heaven. They are alive and aware of us.

i believe they are alive in Christ. if not, why would Christ have told the sinner on the cross next to Him, this day you will be with me in heaven. why also are the saints under the altar waiting in revelations?? it's not that we believe that God or Jesus doesn't hear us.... sometimes we just need to call in reinforcements. kind oflike with Mary -- remember when you were a kid and you needed mom to help you out to get dad to say -- okay, fine :)

I'm sorry honey, but I think you are wrong.
Jesus Christ is the only intercessor a person needs. You do not need Mary, or Saint This or Saint That when praying. You go to Our Father in heaven and ask in Jesus name, that's all you need.

Praying to the saints is just repackaged polytheism. The god of this, the god of that, etc etc. Youll notice that if you want something in paticular, you pray to the right saint. It is just polytheism reborn within Christianity. Sickening.
