Well what kind of list are you looking for, a low sodium? low fat? low carb? there are many things that you should and should not eat. the major things you should consider not eating are foods high in preservatives, trans fat, and high in saturated fats, lean meats are highly prefered when looking to go on a low fat diet,(meats like skinless poultry, tenderloin of pork, and even some red meats) about 23 grams of fiber is also highly recommened when dieting because that helps remove waste that is not needed in the body.

Should/shouldn't eat based on what?

I say eat cake, ice cream, and all of the pie you can stand. It isn't very healthy, but it sure tastes good.
