I received a job offer in mid-town manhattan and I am thinking to live in Teaneck, NJ. What's the best way to commute and how long does it take?

Thanks for the helicopter response.
But if i could afford it, I'd live in Manhattan itself! :)

Many years ago, I used to live in NYC and remember driving from Teaneck to Manhattan took about forty minutes, using the Holland Tunnel or the "Guinea Gangplank" (the Verrazano Narrows Bridge), but I'm pretty sure you can do better taking a train from Teaneck, either terminating at Penn Station or Grand Central. That should only take about twenty-five minutes, if I remember correctly. It sure beats that drive, plus you won't have to worry about parking problems

I would avoid it. It's crime rate is pretty high for an NJ town (3 times the national average). The commute to NYC isn't too bad, though. I hope this information was very helpful.
