I'm very interested in a career in this, however; I can't find a website that specifically lists this as the job function. Please help so I know which courses to sign up for in college.

medical reserach scientist (usually medical, pharmaceutical, and chemistry doctors)

Pharmaceutical chemist.

But for that area, you would need a microbiologist to give you cultures and help you try the antibiotics and vaccines.

If you're talking about actually doing the labor of growing and reconstituting the bacteria and all that, it mostly falls under Medical Technician and Research Technician..
